studio RINGGRRRING is a collective founded in 2023, comprising Nele Schiller (she/her) and Kathrin Frech (she/her). Together, they collaboratively design stage and costume designs for both institutional theatres and independent productions.
In addition to their work in a theatrical context, the duo are involved in independent artistic projects – including video works, exhibition concepts and interdisciplinary collaborations with other artists. Research into collaborative and collective working methods is a central component of her artistic practice. The focus is on the creative potential of the ‘in-between’ – with people, materials and ideas regarded as equally important factors.
studio RINGGRRRING has realised joint projects at venues including DER BÜHNE in Dresden – where their collaboration began with an oversized mobile phone. Further works followed, including collaborations with director Merle Zurawski at the ADK Ludwigsburg, Schauspiel Stuttgart and Theater Baden-Baden. I LOVE HORSES, a piece created in this collaboration, was invited to the Fast Forward Festival 2025.
For backsteinhaus produktion, they are developing and producing the costumes and set design for KLARKOMMEN in collaboration with the living environment experts.
